On September 28, 2008 the MERI held its second annual Genesis Donor Appreciation Celebration at the MERI. Donor families over the past twelve months were invited to the program that was dedicated to celebrating the enduring legacy their loved one made possible.

Guest speakers included MERI Medical Director Dr. Kevin T. Foley, MERI Executive Director Elizabeth Ostric, Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare’s Chaplain Manager Reverend Steve Miller and Genesis Program Manager Brenda Belk, R.N.

Nearly two hundred guests were in attendance representing donors from various states as far reaching as California, Colorado, Texas and Florida. The celebration ended with a dove release to honor those who gave the ultimate gift…themselves.
